In this famous adaptation of one of Hans Christian Andersen’s tales, we follow the adventures of a beautiful princess who sets out in search of her sister, now a queen, who has withdrawn to live in majestic solitude in an ice palace beyond the mountains of the North. The Queen, who has magical powers to create snow and freeze her surroundings, struggles to accept herself, ashamed of these powers and of the negative effects they cause as she moves through life.
But the young princess is optimistic and brave, and she is determined to bring her sister back to the normal world. Together with a young man of the snow and mountains, his reindeer and a curious and funny snowman, she embarks on a journey full of adventures and dangers to save her, while discovering many things about life and love.
