Founded by Joan López de Soria Homar, a Mallorcan violinist who graduated with honours from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid in 2024 and is currently completing his master’s and postgraduate studies at the prestigious University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
The Mallorca Chamber Music Festival was born from the desire to share the beauty of chamber music with musicians and friends who have been part of the same journey. Holding the festival at home, in Mallorca, is a way of returning to its origins, to the place where it all began and where a seed was planted that continues to grow while never forgetting where it first took root.
The festival was created with the aim of giving visibility to emerging young performers, promoting the talent of new generations and providing a platform where they can develop artistically, share their voice and connect with audiences through music.
In its first edition, the Festival offers a journey through some of the most representative works of the chamber music repertoire, exploring different ensembles ranging from the piano trio to the string octet, while showcasing the richness and diversity of chamber music.
With an open outlook and an international vision, the Mallorca Chamber Music Festival aspires to become a meeting point for artists and audiences, encouraging cultural exchange and creating a shared experience centred on classical music, young talent and artistic excellence.
